Our History

From a Single Roast to a Growing Legacy

Peaberry Coffee began its journey in 2007 with the roasting of its first batch under the Marika’s Coffee brand. Built on the belief that world-class coffee could be produced locally, the company started as a wholesale roastery supplying cafés, lodges, restaurants, and hotels across Zambia.

In 2016, Peaberry moved to its current Malambo Road location, opening its first café alongside an upgraded Probat roaster to expand production and quality. Inspired by international warehouse café concepts, the roastery café became a destination for specialty coffee, wholesome meals, and freshly baked treats.

In 2021, Peaberry launched its first Coffee Corner inside Pick n Pay, growing into multiple café locations across Lusaka and the Copperbelt.

Our Malambo Road roastery is where every bean is carefully roasted using our stateof- the-art Probat roasting system. It’s also home to our original café — a warm, welcoming space where customers can experience coffee at its freshest.
